Nigerians in Diaspora Awards (NIDA), is a special award ceremony of Nigerian’s excellence in all works of life..

The inaugural edition held in November 2019 had Her Excellency Dr. Isatou Touray, Vice President of The Republic of The Gambia as the Special Guest of Honour. Also at the event was the then Nigerian Ambassador to The Gambia, HE Olusegun Ibidapo-Obe, The Head of the ECOMIG, the President and Executive members of the Nigerian Community, The Oba of Yoruba community in The Gambia , Traditional Chiefs and Nigerians from all walks of life resident in The Gambia.

The event celebrate top Nigerian professionals who have contributed immensely to the legal, education, medical, commerce, diplomatic and military fields among many others in the Republic of The Gambia. Nigerians have continued to render their support to this nation through the Federal Government of Nigeria’s Technical Aid Corps Program as well as through other formal and informal bodies
