President Bio Showcases SLPP strength in Eastern of Freetown.
Following the launching of the Sierra Leone Peoples Party 2023 campaign in the Eastend part of Freetown, thousands of SLPP supporters converged at the Pa-Morlai Field in Calabatown, Wellington Community Center Field Wellington, St Michaels Field Low cost, and Milend Field in Kissy to welcome His Excellency the President Dr. Julius Maada Bio, First Lady Dr. Fatima Maada Bio, Executive of the SLPP and host of other distinguished personalities in the SLPP.
Addressing supporters at the various locations on Wednesday 31st May 2021.
His Excellency, President Dr. Julius Maada Bio expressed his thanks and appreciation to the SLPP Western Area Executive and membership for coming out in their numbers to showcase the strength of the party support in the Eastern part of Freetown.
He maintained that the 2023 elections are not about violence, abusive language ( Mammy Cuss), intimidation, or blackmailing; it will be about issues, manifestos promises, and development trajectories done by the various governments.
“My government can boast of actualizing almost all of its 2018 manifesto promises and more. I can assure you all that the 2023 manifesto promises will be actualized as Sierra Leoneans deserves better, ” he said.
The President explained in detail some of the key highlights in the 2023 People’s Manifesto and also explained to the people how far his administration has come to change the face of the country in just five years.
The Commander in Chief appealed to all well -meaning Sierra Leoneans to be peaceful on elections day and do all they could to go out and vote for the future of this nation.
Introducing the Leader of the SLPP, Her Excellency, the First Lady Dr. Fatima Maada Bio revealed that the people will not be voting for President Bio; they will be voting for the future of their children, the Free Quality Education, womens empowerment, Rural Electrification, women and girls protection, Hands Off Our Girls and the Free Sanitary Pads Distributions among host of others.
The First Lady appeals to the women of Sierra Leone to stand against APC motherly invectives (Mammy cuss) by relegating them to permanent opposition and voting President Bio overwhelmingly in the June 24 General elections.
Further statements of commitments assurances and declarations were made by senior party members, including the Mayoral Candidate for the SLPP Mohamed Gento Kamara.
The various meetings were chaired by the erudite chairman of the Sierra Leone Peoples Party in the person of Dr. Prince Alex Harding.
