First Lady Fatima Maada Bio Arrives Safely in Burundi for 6th High-Level Forum of Women Leaders
Her Excellency Fatima Maada Bio, First Lady of Sierra Leone, has arrived safely in Burundi ahead of the 6th High-Level Forum of Women Leaders, scheduled for November 20, 2025.
She was warmly welcomed by Burundi’s First Lady, H.E. Angeline Ndayishimiye, in a vibrant ceremony featuring cultural performances and traditional hospitality. The forum will bring together women leaders from across Africa and the globe to discuss strategies for advancing gender equality, women’s empowerment, and sustainable development initiatives.
FMB expressed her gratitude for the warm reception and shared excitement about engaging with fellow leaders on advancing women’s leadership across Africa.
