Sierra Leone vs Nigeria tips: predictions and odds for AFCON qualifiers match

Our football betting expert offers up his three best Sierra Leone vs Nigeria betting tips and predictions ahead of the penultimate AFCON qualifying match. Nigeria have the quality to lock in qualification to the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, equipped with a star-studded selection at the top end of the pitch.

Nigeria find themselves in pole position in the qualifying standings and needing to avoid defeat to guarantee a top-two finish. For this match predictions, it’s difficult to foresee anything but Nigeria dominating the share of high-quality chances in the game.

Just look at their recent line-up versus Guinea-Bissau in March. This is a squad stacked with superior quality in every position.

From Victor Osimhen and Terem Moffi in forward areas, to Premier League talent in Alex Iwobi, Wilfried Ndidi, Joe Aribo, and Kelechi Iheanaho on the bench. Not to mention Villarreal’s Samuel Chukwueze out wide.

The individual components are impressive. It’s no surprise they’re the favourites in the latest Sierra Leone vs Nigeria odds.

If head coach Jose Peseiro can unlock their full potential, there’s no doubt that Nigeria will be amongst the favourites for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations.

Sierra Leone vs Nigeria Bet 1: Nigeria to win @ 2/5

Unwise To Overlook Victor Osimhen?

The Napoli goal-getter stands level with Sadio Mane on AFCON qualifying goals (5) this campaign. And it’s no surprise. Victor Osimhen has been in red hot form all season long.

With Napoli able to approach Serie A games in a less competitive manner than usual given they won Serie A with games to spare, Nigeria will be receiving an Osimhen with an additional spring in his step for the June internationals.

That will give the Nigeria squad a boost as they ready themselves to face Sierra Leone.

Alongside his five strikes in qualifying, Osimhen scored 26 goals in Serie A, and five in six Champions League outings. In terms of AFCON qualifiers tips, he’s certainly someone to consider finding the net on Friday.

Sierra Leone vs Nigeria Bet 2: Victor Osimhen to Score Anytime

Back Goals in Nigerian Green

We’ve touched on it previously in our Sierra Leone vs Nigeria tips, but Nigeria’s squad, if they turn up how we know they can, should make light work of Sierra Leone. However, this is a Sierra Leone outfit that needs a points return to give their hopes of qualification a boost.

If Nigeria can find the first goal, which is likely, the dynamic of the game will shift. Sierra Leone will need to get bodies forward and take risks in midfield and at the back.

There will be counter-attacking opportunities to exploit for Nigeria, as well as avenues to overcome their opponents in transition.

With the quality at Nigeria’s disposal, including Victor Osimhen upfront, don’t be too surprised if Nigeria work a hatful of goalscoring opportunities on Friday.

This award serves as proof of the good deeds he has accomplished, and the positive effect he has had on those around him. Even the elders of the land have recognized his leadership potential, and have called on him to uphold the status of the community and give their advice to such a promising young man.

By advocating for non-violence, we aim to build bridges between individuals, communities, and nations, fostering an atmosphere of mutual respect and understanding.
Responsibilities of Citizen: we have certain rights and responsibilities that we must uphold. These rights not only protect us but also serve as the foundation of a just and equitable society. We must support and defend the Constitution, the embodiment of our shared values and principles. By doing so, we ensure that the rights and freedoms of all citizens are safeguarded.
Staying informed about the issues affecting our communities is another important responsibility. Knowledge empowers us to make informed decisions, contribute meaningfully to public discourse, and work toward positive change.
Participating in the democratic process is both a right and a responsibility. By exercising our right to vote, we have the opportunity to shape the future of our nations and elect representatives who reflect our values and aspirations Respecting and obeying federal, state, and local laws is not only a responsibility but also a cornerstone of a functioning society.
Laws provide the framework within which we can coexist peacefully, and we must uphold them. By engaging in community initiatives, volunteering our time and skills, and promoting unity and cooperation, we can make a positive impact on the lives of those around us. Together, we can create stronger, more resilient communities that thrive on the principles of peace and harmony.” #@ Peace Ambassador.
Prezzo Matt brought attention to the devastating consequences of election violence, illustrating his point with an example from the 2017 bye-election in Sawafeh, where the Chiefdom headquarters was engulfed in violence. The town remained a ghost town for weeks, displacing its residents and disrupting their lives.
ELECTIONS VIOLENCE AND IT’S IMPACT
By prezzo Matt
Prezzo Matt emphasized, “Violence breeds more violence, creating an ongoing cycle of discord and suffering. Our objective should be to break this cycle and establish a peaceful society where every voice is acknowledged and respected.” It is essential to shed light on such incidents and help students comprehend the adverse effects of election-related problems.
One incident occurred in Massabendu town during the 2018 elections where the two big political parties support ( APC and SLPP) were involved in serious infighting that led to serious injuries, it also forced many people to flee and seek refuge in other areas, exacerbating the problem of a declining population in the town. This situation not only disrupts the lives of individuals but also has wider implications for the community’s well-being and development. By discussing these incidents, he generated awareness among pupils and teachings about the detrimental effects of election-related violence. He asserted, “It is significant to emphasize the importance of peaceful dialogue, respect for differing opinions, and the power of democratic processes. Only by understanding and addressing the negative outcomes of electoral conflicts can we work towards building a harmonious society where everyone can thrive.”
CHILD RIGHTS AND Responsibilities
By Abu Bakarr Amara aka A-plus is the speaker.
A-Plus highlighted the importance of educating the youth about their rights and responsibilities. He emphasized, “Children have the right to grow up in a peaceful and inclusive society. However, they also bear the responsibility of actively promoting peace and respecting the rights of others. Let us nurture a generation that values harmony and unity.”
CONDUCT OF A SCHOOL-GOING PUPIL:
Mohamed Juma Bah as the orator.
Mohamed Juma Bah focused on the conduct of students during politically charged times. He stated, “As students, you are the future leaders of Nimiyama. Your behavior and actions can shape the destiny of this nation. Exercise your right to express opinions peacefully and responsibly. Violence should never be a means of resolving conflicts.”
CAUSES OF ELECTION VIOLENCE
Ibrahim M Sesay AKAPapah is the speaker.
Papah delved into the root causes of election violence. He remarked, “Political tensions, ethnic divisions, and a lack of dialogue contribute to election violence. Moreover, there have been instances where some politicians exploit vulnerable youth during the election period by providing them with harmful drugs as a means to manipulate them into engaging in violent activities.
They may also attempt to confuse the mindset of the youth by offering monetary incentives. It is crucial to address these issues by fostering a culture of understanding, tolerance, and respect. Pupils should be educated about the dangers of drug abuse and encouraged to avoid politicians who engage in such manipulative tactics. Together, we can build a united Nimiyama.”
SOLUTIONS TO ELECTION VIOLENCE:
By Sakoh Fofanah.
Saccoh offered practical solutions to curb election violence. He urged, “We must prioritize open dialogue, peaceful negotiations, and constructive engagement. Through increased awareness, voter education, and fostering a sense of Nimiyama or national identity, we can lay the foundation for peaceful elections.”
THE NEED FOR PEACE:
By Sahr Patrick
Sahr Patrick concluded the session by emphasizing the significance of peace. He remarked, “Peace is not the absence of conflict; it is the presence of understanding and the willingness to work together. Let us embrace diversity, reject violence, and strive for a united Nimiyama. Together, we can create a brighter future.”

Visits to Gambia are trouble-free – UK indorses

Despite demonstrations and riots in neighbouring Senegal as well as other reports suggesting political marches in the country including the fear of an outbreak of unexpected violence, the UK government has maintained that “most visits to The Gambia are trouble-free”.

Similar reports circulating also triggered nervous and anxious political and financial debates by both Gambians at home and in the diaspora as the country struggled to free itself from the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic as well as other negative economic factors such as the war in Ukraine.

Consequently, an aggressive campaign by Banjul to not only woo but to positively convince investors, tourists and other visitors to consider coming to the country became part of the debate.

Concerned visitors mostly from the UK, one of the country’s most outstanding and notable ally asked questions such as: “Is The Gambia truly inside Senegal? How can I freely navigate across The Gambia without any difficulty?”

Responding to the Point, a Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) spokesperson said: “We maintained that most visits to The Gambia are trouble-free. We also noted that people travelling independently should make sure next of kin in the UK have details of itinerary and keep in regular touch. It is also important to take out travel and medical insurance…”

This correspondent also heard concerns such as “gatherings and protest; beaches and zoos; roads and electricity”.

David Haugen, an entrepreneur replying said: “We consider The Gambia as our second home. Most importantly, we truly feel at home across the whole country…”

Nonetheless, the FCDO also noted that “large gatherings and protests in public areas must be avoided and reminded visitors to monitor local media for up-to-date information and follow the advice of local authorities”.

Separately, as far as the current situation in Senegal is concerned, “demonstrations about political issues” are mentioned. It added that such events “occur frequently and are likely to increase in the build-up to presidential elections in February 2024…they can be violent”.
