‎The Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory, CP Ajao Saka Adewale, has confirmed the tragic death of Arise TV correspondent, Somtochukwu Maduagwu.

‎According to the police report, the incident occurred in the early hours of Monday, September 29, 2025, at her residence in Katampe, Abuja. In a desperate bid to escape an armed robbery attack, Maduagwu jumped from the 3rd floor of her apartment building. Sadly, the fall proved fatal.

‎The police commissioner assured that investigations are ongoing to track down the criminals behind the attack, while security operatives have been deployed to intensify surveillance in the area.
