Afrinity CEO Meets with Mayor of Corby, UK – Announces New Date for the Upcoming Carers Appreciation Night / Enlightenment Enlightening Care.(CAN 4.0)
 
Corby, United Kingdom – On Friday, August 15, 2025, Mr. Wilfred Adams, the Chief Executive Officer of Afrinity, met with Cllr Callum Reilly, the Mayor of Corby, to discuss preparations for the upcoming Carers Appreciation Night (CAN) — an annual event dedicated to honoring the exceptional dedication and selfless contributions of caregivers, care providers, and community members.
The meeting emphasized the critical importance of recognizing caregivers who show extraordinary commitment in supporting individuals and families. The discussions focused on enhancing the event’s impact, broadening participation, and strengthening collaborations with both local and international stakeholders.
Cllr Callum Reilly is serving as the current Mayor of Corby for the 2025-26 civic year. His chosen charities for fundraising during his term are Lakelands Hospice and Home-Start Corby.
Following the meeting, it was officially agreed that the Carers Appreciation Award (CAN 4.0) will take place on Saturday, March 6, 2026.
The Carers Appreciation Night is organized by Enlightenment Care Services and is supported by various partners, including Corby Council, Care Quality Support and others.
