Putin Visits Mongolia Amid ICC Arrest Warrant Concerns

Russian President Vladimir Putin has made his first visit to Mongolia, marking his first trip to a member country of the International Criminal Court (ICC) since the court issued a warrant for his arrest last year.

 

He was greeted by Mongolia’s leader during an elaborate ceremony in the capital city, Ulaanbaatar, on Tuesday.

 

The ICC has issued a warrant against Putin over allegations of the illegal deportation of Ukrainian children. 

 

Despite the warrant, a Kremlin spokesperson stated there were no concerns that Putin would be arrested during his visit to Mongolia.
