Destiny Cannot Be Chained: Reflections on Mandela, Joseph, and Nnamdi Kanu
Once upon a time, history showed us that no chain is strong enough to hold a man whose destiny is written by God.
Nelson Mandela was falsely accused and sentenced to life imprisonment under fabricated terrorism charges. Yet, destiny did not end in that prison cell. He emerged from darkness to become the President of South Africa a global symbol of freedom, resilience, and unbreakable courage.
The story mirrors the biblical tale of Joseph, the beloved son of Jacob, who faced betrayal, false accusations, and imprisonment. From the prison walls, he rose to sit on the throne, ruling over nations. What was meant to destroy him became the path that lifted him.
In our own time, history is writing another chapter. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, whose only crime is speaking for his people, has been sentenced to life imprisonment on false terrorism charges. But like Mandela and Joseph, destiny does not bow to injustice.
No matter how long the night lasts, the morning must surely come. One day a blessed day he will walk out free and lead his people with renewed strength, purpose, and divine mandate.
