SMA AWARD

The final nominations for the Special Movie Awards (SMA) 5.0 have been officially released, and the Executive Committee, headed by our founder Mr. Wilfred Adams, along with Producer Mr. Sheikh Tijan Sonko and Associate Producer Mr. Akenaton Topper Loborde, is currently engaging with stakeholders in The Gambia π¬π² film industry.
The main goal of this meeting is to share updates on the latest developments and preparations for this yearβs esteemed SMA Awards, which are set to take place on June 28, 2025.Β We had the pleasure of visiting Prince Bubacarr Aminata Sankanu the President of the Film Producers Association of The Gambia (FPAG) at his office at the University of Gambia.

During our meeting, we were delighted to present him with the sample of SMA Award and extend our congratulations on his recent achievement of earning a degree π in Law from the University.Β
He expressed strong support for the SMA Awards, offering valuable advice and best wishes for our team as we move forward.

PRESS RELEASE: Rescheduling of SMA 2025 to 28th June 2025 Due to Venue Booking Adjustment
Afrinity Productions hereby communicates to the public, nominees, partners, and invited guests that the Special Movie Awards (SMA) 2025 has been rescheduled. The event will now take place on Saturday, 28th June 2025, instead of the previously announced date of Saturday, 21st June 2025.


This adjustment has become necessary due to a modification in the venue booking at the West Africa Insurance Institute, Kotu South, The Gambia, which is beyond our control. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding and continued support.
The revised event details are as follows:
